Review & Description
Little Plum Lewisia-Bitterroot
Hardier than most and better performer in the garden, forms low rosettes of deep green leathery leaves, clusters of purple-pink flower with orange highlights bloom on short stems growing from the leaf axils, a prolific spring bloomer. Lewisia require very good drainage. Best approach is to plant them on a sharp slope, or even vertically between two rocks. Planting them bare root in sand and gravel helps, too. The bottom line is that they need good drainage to thrive.
