Texas Maroon Bluebonnets usually cannot survive in areas that have flat terrain or soils with poor drainage. Well-drained areas such as a 6 to 8 inch raised flower bed, sloping hillsides or half wooden barrels are excellent areas to sow your Texas Maroon Bluebonnets to increase success. WHEN AND WHERE TO PLANT: Select a location that is well-drained and receives a minimum of 8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
